My Love for all things Royal!

Over the past couple of months I have been asked why I enjoying talking and learning about the British Royal Family and some other royal family. But my main focus has been the current royal in England. It all started with watching the engagement announcement of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales(Prince Charles) and Lady Diana Spencer in February 1981. I became so enthrall with the future Princess of Wales. She was lovely English rose and her prince was smart and yes handsome. I loved reading about this couple so much. I have to say that I been reading about Her Majesty and Her Family. So many amazing people in this family and strong characters during some tough times in history. The King's Speech was the story of King George IV (Queen's Father) this story was about him dealing with problem with a stutter. He was not groomed to be King  and he and his Wife Duchess of York lived a simple life with daughters Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margret. His brother became involved with women named Willis Simpson(Duchess of Windsor) and he step down as King to be with this women. This change the life of his brother Albert and his family. His and his wife Queen Elizabeth (Queen Mum) stayed in London during the war. Became beloved to the British People and the world. King George IV died in February 1952 after a battle of lung cancer. His Eldest Daughter Princess Elizabeth became the Sovereign of The United Kingdom. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was crowned in front of her young family( Prince Charles age 4 and Princess Anne age 3) . The Queen and her Husband are the proud parents of  4 children  (3 sons Charles, Andrew,Edward and one Daughter Anne)
and 8 grandchildren and one great-grand child. The family has gone threw many events both sad and tragic. Divorce of 3 of Queen's children(Charles and Anne and Andrew)  and the death of family members ( Princess Diana and Queen Mum and Princess Margret.  They are like any family it has up and downs. Each member has grown in our eyes. I enjoy this hobby and love learning about something new. This Friday, I will celebrate a new person joining the fold. Best wishes to William and Kate

Born April 21, 1926, Queen Elizabeth II turns 85 years old today.  Although her “official birthday” is celebrated yearly in June with the Trooping of the Colour ceremony.
Happy 85th Birthday to the Queen
- the Monarchy’s lighthouse & touchstone

Long may Her Majesty reign!
The Queen & the Duke are currently in Windsor Castle.  She’ll be in Westminster Abbey later today for the Royal Maundy service. No news on how Her Majesty will be celebrating her landmark birthday.
Yesterday, however, the Palace confirmed that the Queen & Prince Philip hosted Kate Middleton’s parents – Michael and Carole – to a private lunch.  It is believed that it is the first time they have met.  Previous reports insisted the Queen had no plans to meet them before the wedding.
Buckingham Palace says: The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh hosted Mr and Mrs Michael Middleton at a private lunch at Windsor Castle today.”
According to a royal source: “It was a lovely lunch, very warm with lots of laughter and I think helped put everyone at ease.” The meal started at 1pm and lasted just under an hour and half – Her Majesty has never been one to linger long over lunch.
Also present were a handful of household staff including the Queen’s private secretary and equerry.

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's royal wedding is generating around 9,000 mentions a day online, or one every 10 seconds, according to a study from specialist technology firm Greenlight published on Tuesday.
Internationally, those excited by the marriage between Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29 outweigh the naysayers by six to one, the company's research shows.
During March and April, there have been 158,000 posts related to the wedding on online media, with nearly 61,000, or 38 percent, coming in the last seven days alone.
YouTube and Facebook (public posts) accounted for the smallest share of the posts, at one and eight percent respectively, while online news sources accounted for 30 percent followed by blog posts (29 percent).
Twitter accounted for 17 percent and forums 16 percent, Greenlight added. Those proportions could change, however, now that the wedding will be available on YouTube via an official royal channel.
Posts about Middleton's dress (23 percent), the guest list (20 percent) and gifts (18 percent) were the most popular.
Palace officials have said that as well as live streaming of the wedding, there would be a live blog and integrated Twitter feed, underlining how technology is changing the way the royal occasion is viewed around the world compared to past events.
The royal wedding is expected to be one of the year's most watched events globally, with some estimating viewership of up to two billion people.

A Son's love for his mother!!

A mother's love for her son never dies. Prince William took his wife-to-be Catherine to visit the grave of his mother at Athrop today. It was said it was very emotional day for the Prince William and Kate, this one person that will not be there to see this wedding. I can understand how Prince William feels his mother was important person in his life. Diana will always be part of her sons life. God Bless William and Catherine!!!
