A never-before-seen photograph of Princes William and Harry will show the brothers in a whole new light when it goes on display for the first time.
The royal brothers have had joint portraits taken before, most notably by celebrity photographer Mario Testino, but rarely have they seemed so at ease.
The intimate black-and-white picture captures the princes, dressed in jeans, chinos and shirts, as close as ever.
Informal princes: The casual image, captured by photographer Fergus Greer, will go on display for the first time on Monday
Now Clarence House has given the National Portrait Gallery permission to use the image at a new exhibition, which will also feature images of a host of celebrities.
Greer has also photographed a number of celebrities from David Bowie and Julie Christie to Ray Winstone and Michael Caine.
The image of the princes is one of 18 prints by 12 contemporary photographers acquired by London's National Portrait Gallery which will go on display from Monday until the autumn.
Also being exhibited will be a portrait of Tracey Emin by David Bailey and images of comics Ronnie Corbett and Lee Evans and actor Andy Serkis.
The brothers are currently preparing for William's impending wedding to Kate Middleton.
